Medical Faculties Awarded in the Competition 1st held by Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Stomatology Education Alliance

On March 1, the first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Stomatology Education Alliance Teachers’ Competition, sponsored by Guanghua School of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University, was held in Guangzhou. Nearly 80 guests, leaders and teachers from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Hainan and other well-known stomatology universities in China attended the competition. Professor Li Xia, Executive Dean of the Medical School of Foshan University (FOSU), served refereeing. Young faculties from the Medical School won 1 prize for the first and the third respectively. 

Chen Wuya and Xiao Xin from the Department of Stomatology, Medical School took part in the competition. They both achieved good scores via combining theory with cultivating humane virtue of classroom demonstration, multimedia courseware, self-made models and other teaching facilities simulating virtual practice, so as to make teaching contents rich and colorful, the delivery process lively, humorous, and passionate. Their manuscripts in teaching board, their experiment interpretation and student-teacher mutual interaction were of high performance, of course, which represent FOSU young faculties’ profound profession quality and innovative horizon among Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Stomatology Education Alliance circle.

To promote teaching through competition, by means of reminding teachers content reconstruction, innovation of teaching methods and reprocess of delivery as well as research – classroom transfer, this competition is to to promote quality medical instruction in university.
